Buckingham Nicks Albums

Home  •

Upon the disbandment of Fritz in 1971, Lindsey & Stevie formed the folk rock duo Buckingham Nicks. They signed with Polydor records and released their record of the same name on September 5, 1973. The infamous cover is the result of Stevie being forced to remove her top during the photoshoot. She cried during the shoot due to not being comfortable with the idea after being told it was art. The duo toured around the country in promotion of the album notable performances included Tuscaloosa, and Birmingham where early versions of Rhiannon, andSorcerer can be heard. Despite this, the album was considered a failure and they were dropped from their label. The rest is history, because they would later famously go on to join Fleetwood Mac.
